Ancient Origins
Bodysurfing, as it is known today, is not only the original, but also considered the purist form of surfing. Long before the use of surfboards, native islanders would ride waves with just their bodies. Explorers would later observe these early surfers using palm fronds, and other found materials, such as small pieces of driftwood, to increase performance. Similar to those ancient pieces of driftwood, LUNCHTRÉ is designed to reduce drag, increase speed and lift.
Food tray roots
Several decades ago, people used actual food trays, like those found at fast food restaurants, to push the capabilities of bodysurfing. Though somewhat lacking in control, the basic concept of the food tray was the inspiration behind the name LUNCHTRÉ.
Bodysurfing 2.0!
LUNCHTRÉ’s patent-pending design connects you to the wave like nothing else can - no restrictive straps, stiffness, or bulk, just you and the wave. It combines the flexible, pre-loading power of a snowboard, the quick efficient glide of a skimboard, and the agility of a skateboard, all in a crazy-thin, featherlight board, that fits in your backpack.

Born Out Of Simplicity
At the heart of each LUNCHTRÉ lies our Patent Pending open traction pad. By removing the traditionally bulky and restrictive straps, your hands are FREE to go where they are needed. Similar to the top of a skateboard, surfboard, or skimboard, LUNCHTRÉ was designed with weight distribution in mind. So whether you use one hand or two, feel free to move about!
Travel Light. Surf Big.
LUNCHTRÉ is built to go wherever you do. Nearly as thin as a credit card, and about the size of a dinner plate, it slips easily into backpacks, beach bags, and over-head bins. No special rack, or oversized luggage required. So whether you’re flying to Indonesia, or walking down to your local break, LUNCHTRÉ is ready when you are.

Carbon fiber strong. Featherlight fast.
Each LUNCHTRÉ is precision-crafted from aerospace-grade carbon fiber, and laminated with laser-etched EVA traction foam, for a grip that feels alive against your skin. It’s light as air, tough as hell, and built to flex. Hydrophobic, heat-resistant, and nearly indestructible, it’s a board you can throw in your backpack and trust in any break.
-
Twists, curves, and springs like a dream.
LUNCHTRÉ’s patented-pending flex core, responds to you and the wave, like a magic carpet. Apply fingertip pressure to twist and position the front of the board. Or press firmly with your palm for deep directional carves. The board pre-loads and releases energy like a snowboard on water, letting you drive, snap, and glide with super low resistance and incredible control. It’s not just flexible—it’s alive.
-
Grip without drag. Flow without fight.
LUNCHTRÉ’s patent-pending segmented rails provide fighter-jet like response, and maneuvering in the water. The patent-pending strap-free open-traction pad, allows you to move and shift your weight instinctively. LUNCHTRÉ is a combination of innovative hydrodynamic design, infused with other worldly control, that is stupid-fun to ride.

A taste of nostalgia, the School Lunch Edition reimagines the LUNCHTRÉ Pro through the lens of retro cafeteria cool — where bold colors, sticker-style graphics, and classic patterns meet precision performance.
Built with the same patent-pending flexible handboard design, segmented leading edge, and strap-free adaptive grip as our top-tier models, it’s a board that performs like a pro but doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Each one is handcrafted and serialized, blending art, humor, and high performance into a limited-run collector’s piece.
Designed from stratch, and hand illustrated by award-winning artist and sponsored bodysurfer Bryan Niven, the LUNCHTRÉ Pro Signature Edition delivers next-level, strap-free bodysurfing performance. Featuring a patent-pending segmented leading edge for precision control and an adaptive traction surface that moves with your hand, it connects you to the wave like never before.
Carbon Fiber: Our lightest, strongest, and most responsive board yet.
Crafted from pure 1mm carbon fiber — no fillers, no blended materials — this edition offers a performance jump you can feel instantly. Its 3k twill matte finish reveals the true carbon weave and gives the board a stealth-grade aesthetic. At only 1.6–1.7 g/cm³, carbon fiber is lighter than aluminum yet significantly stronger, giving you:
Explosive flex response and crisp snapback
Superior control under speed and pressure
Longer lifespan thanks to corrosion-proof fibers
A premium feel that serious riders instantly notice
If you want the absolute best ride, this is your board.
Polycarbonate: Durable, flexible, and budget-friendly.
Made from UV-stable polycarbonate, this version delivers impressive strength, a comfortable flex pattern, and a lightly textured, semi-transparent finish.
Flexible and forgiving
Tough enough for everyday use
Slightly translucent with a clean, modern look
A great choice for riders entering the LUNCHTRÉ Pro universe.
“Growing up, I had a very narrow view of surfing. Shortboard. When I stumbled onto bodysurfing later in life, my perspective of surfing fundamentally changed. Now, with LUNCHTRÉ, I feel grafted into the wave… intimately connected with the ocean. To me that is what surfing is all about.”
